Sinéad McClure is a writer, radio producer, and illustrator. She has written and co-produced 15 dramas that have aired on RTEjr Radio, between 2009 and 2019. Currently and during the Covid-19 pandemic, Sinéad’s production company All Points West is airing a selection of these dramas on their website Voices from Ireland. You can also find many of the dramas still available on the RTE Player or RTEjr Radio online.
With her partner Jho Harris she set-up the successful podcasting site, podcasts.ie which champions Irish writers of poetry, prose, and music.
Sinéad is also a writer of poetry both for young people and adults. Her poem “Tea & Sympathy” was published in Crossways Literary Magazine in January 2020. Her short story “Five Years” has been published in Meat for Tea, the Valley Review in Autumn 2019. Sinéad had three poems published in the June 2020 edition of Live Encounters and more recently in the November Anniversary Issue. In July 2020 Sinéad was a featured writer on Poethead An Index of Women Poets. Sinéad’s poem Bridling the Devil’s Coach Horse was recently published in the Cabinet of Heed. In December 2020 Sinéad was published in issue 32 of StepAway Magazine with her poem The Commons.
She often revisits the theme of the natural environment in her work and has a particular interest in wildlife conservation.
